Grade 2 farm house and outbuildings, where we extensively renovated a semi-derelict building into a family house with annex in the outbuildings for a disabled person.

Cow Shed Conversion - Dauntsey, Wiltshire

Conversion of a very derelict cow shed, into a 2 bed accommodation then returned some 8 years later to extend the barn to create an annex.

Ian Nurden Ltd is also a building restoration and stonemasonry contractor specialising in working on historic buildings such as churches and other heritage properties. Using appropriate materials and craftsmanship based around traditional restoration techniques and modern refurbishment methods, we complete our restoration projects to complement the original building.

Removal of old concrete roof, reconstructed new lead roof and refurbished balustrading all to comply with listed buildings.

GREAT SOMERFORD CHURCH - CHIPPENHAM, WILTSHIRE

Reroofing of main church to comply with faculty, front elevation stripped and relayed with existing good tiles from the rear to make up short fall, supply and fitting new stone tiles to the rear elevation, also removal of old floors and laying new limecrete ready for tiling.

BUNGALOW BUILD - Luckington, WILTSHIRE

Constructed a bungalow for retired builder in the garden of his former home, dividing the properties with large natural dry stone walls built in traditional way, front elevation of bungalow was built in natural stone, the rear in bradstone and created a resin drive to the front of the property.

AUTUMN HOUSE - MALMESBURY, WILTSHIRE

One of our many new builds built in our development company, where we let the building into the embankment about the old station yard, and over looking the cricket field. This was a 5 bed property over 4 levels, with a gym down stairs with its own shower facilities along with a number of voids to the rear to create wine stores etc, along with its own boiler/plant room and large double garage. The kitchen was bespoke hand made with a 2 m square island along with granite worktops.

NEW detached house - MILBOURNE, WILTSHIRE

This is one of 3 detached properties we built after having to clear land prior and is the largest of the 3 properties all fairly similar. It has a welcoming entrance hall with oak flooring which leads in to the well proportioned sitting room with a feature fireplace. This is decorated with Bath stone surround with inset and gas fire.

We carry out Natural Stone Tiling and all aspects of roofing, from repairs and reroofs on modern and old properties, rebuilds of chimneys and lead work, resin and industrial roofs, all works carried out to the highest standard of craftsmanship and safety.

Carry out repairs to roof where the leak had rotted away battens felt and rafters, and replaced stone tiles where necessary, removed damaged weather vane and sympathetically restored back to original and refitted.
